What early development education methods to choose?
Ideally this question should be answered when you are pregnant. But even if your child is 12 month you have still enough time to start early childhood education.
So, what early develoment education methods to choose?
Today we can hear so many arguments about different methods of children early development. Montessori, Glenn Doman (the author of well-known books “How To Teach Your Baby To Read”, “How To Teach Your Baby Math”, “How To Teach Your Baby To Be Physically Superb”, “How To Give Your Baby Encyclopedic Knowledge”), Sesil Lupan, Zajtsev and Nikitiny, Rudolf Steiner are the most famous founders of early development methods.
Every method has its weak and strong sides.
There is no universal method suitable to all children.
Zajtsev methods can boast with great variety of educational material.
Glenn Doman is great but I don’t like idea that child is passive object in the process.
Intellectual games of Nikitin’s are very good but they lack aesthetic side.
Montessori methods and Waldorf education have a lot in common and they are the most popular in the world. They have almost the same aims of education and development but of course have disagreement.
The role of arts is the leading in the Waldorf education. Montessori didn’t think that arts are very important because they divert one’s attention away from real life. Rudolf Steiner thinks that emotional world of a child is very important and when we don’t pay attention to it we make imagination very poor.
Montessori proposes you to give kids developmental toys already made by teacher. If you are following Waldorf education you have to make toys together with child.
Every early education method is like the live creature. I can also develop according to needs of time and kid’s desires. But what ever you choose don’t be too dedicated to any methods if you see that you child isn’t very happy about it. Let your kids choose themselves what methods they like most of all.

To my mind Schicida and TweedleWink are very close to Glenn Doman. No matter how they call their methods it’s brain training education. So one of the main purpose is to develop the brain with help of different cards and video in order to unleash secret power of the brain. So called Brain Gym:) I can’t say those methods are bad. The main things is to see if your child likes them. Whatever your child enjoy is the best! My advice is always try to find somethings new and interesting and never be limited by “only the one” method.
