Toddler and Bilinguism
Modern world is not a world of a single language.
Our time is not time of people dedicated to one language. It’s even impossible for those who want to speak only one language.
Society is transforming itself so fast and we see great changes almost every year.
We can learn foreign languages in every age but easier to do it when you are child.
To my mind the best way to help your child in learning other languages is to make your toddler bilingual.
My Toddler is bilingual and I’m very glad that I’ve helped her in this.
Here are some thoughts why it’s so important.
1. Till the age of 3 a mind of a child is in the stage of its intensive development. There are many films and books explaining how receiving of new information helps creating bounds between exciters. Of course it doesn’t mean that everyone who starts to learn language later never able to reach the goal. But it’s more easy to do it when you are child because any information is absorbed instantly.
2. You can easy integrate some geography information (we successful this done with our daughter) while teaching other languages.
That’s very interesting to speak about other countries and cities, cultures and customs. Perhaps, some people think that it’s too early to speak about it with toddlers. But I’m sure toddler loves to know more about the world.
3. Speaking a foreign language is like putting glasses of different colors in order to see the world in a new way. Who can argue that it’s incredibly developing?
4. I’m teacher of foreign languages and I’m very glad that my knowledge helped me in developing my toddler.
My daughter can easily learn any language she wants in any time of her life because her mind is trained for it.
