Sorting game for toddler or 5 things you should know about sorting with toddler.

Sorting game

1.All toddlers are materialists. Even though they have great imagination, it’s impossible for them to explore the world without touching and taking to hands or even tasting all objects they find… So the best way to teach them something it’s just put in their small curious hands something “significant” and let them play, naming the object just as if it happen incidentally. Be sure in some days you’ll see the result of your lesson even without asking. Your toddler will easily name (or show if he doesn’t speak well) all shapes and colors.

2. The more - the better. Toddlers love the toys consisting of many colorful parts (of course not small ones). It looks as the word “many” is very important characteristic for good toy, which can fascinate them for long time (relatively long time). Sorting game is perfect toy from this point of view.

3. Start anytime. You don’t have to wait until your toddler will learn to speak well to teach him colors and shapes. If he doesn’t show desire to name them he can show you the colors or shapes when you ask him.

4. Only your imagination bounds you.You may simplify the game for the first time. Let your toddler play with the parts as much as he wants. Only when he will be bored with it show how to sort them.  But don’t insist on your rules. It’s easy to play various tasks of different difficulty levels according to likes of your child. So you’ll be able to use it for very long time.

5. One more bonus. Playing sorting game will develop fine motor skills what is perfect for brain and speech ability.
