Fear of Darkness

I’ve read long time ago that children start to fear of darkness when they start to understand the death. Usually it happens till the age of 3 or 4. My daughter is 3 and she really started to feel fear to darkness after she find out about things that we can’t change – death.

You know how mother tries to build a wall between a child and a life to ensure the safety and emotional comfort. Still I understand that if not to allow to receive some portions of information about bad things that happens in our life, one day a child may have a shock seeing something. It’s a very complicated question where is a limit of things a toddler should know. Too much information can have negative influence on a beautiful and clean mind. How to teach about positive side of life but prepare for life? [...]

I’m sure you know what is baby. But now is a new stage and you can face a new person in your life – your toddler son or girl.

I can’t say who is toddler because I don’t know your child but I can say what is toddler.
