Simple Developing Activities

Developing activities shouldn’t be too complicated. Well-known developing methods are not the only possible ways to help your child to become smarter.

There are many roads to one place and the same is with early development. I don’t want to say that everything we read about on so many blogs is not necessary. The information is very useful and sometimes I feel pity that our parents didn’t know about it. Maybe I would feel myself better when I was teenager if my mother didn’t yell at me and was more attentive.

But I want to say that if we want to be good parents we must always be in a search because there is no book or method which can give all ready answers. Be always in a search. If we don’t make progress we regress.

What do I mean when I say simple activities? It can be something you don’t pay much attention. For example water or empty boxes. They can have magic effect on the children and they develop creativity and fantasy.

Doman’s Wisdom

If to speak about development toddler it’s necessary to mention about Dr. Glenn Doman. Some years ago I was very impressed when I’d read about his work and The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential. They are famous for their work with brain-injured children and their work in early development for well children since 1940. He wrote lots of book about early development:
“How To Teach Your Baby To Read”, “How To Teach Your Baby Math”, “How To Teach Your Baby To Be Physically Superb”, “How To Give Your Baby Encyclopedic Knowledge”. I thought that if even simple communication and showing pictures to brain-injured children have such great effect on their developing and make them smarter than healthy children, with normal children it can have even greater result. The problem is that many parents think that their children are too small for learning and communication and don’t pay much attention to the early development. [...]

Wrinkle-mania

I’ve seen in some mommy Blogs posts about wrinkles. This topic is popular because most of the women are afraid of them. I was too. But not anymore!

I’m not afraid of them. The point is start to see beauty even in wrinkles. I believe that beauty is not only in young skin. It must be somewhere deep inside. That’s the secret why so many women are so beautiful even in their late forty, fifty and even sixty. But some looks terribly funny trying to show up everyone that they are still young and beautiful dressing up slothes which don’t match them and thier age, wearing bright make up… It’s only body and skin. Our soules and hearts never become old! [...]

Making development toddler happy. Step 1. Painting

Blaze of Colors

Painting brings loads of fun and happiness to toddler and have great effect on the aesthetic development toddler, creativity, and self-expression. Besides it’s very good for little fingers to become deft, what is very good for developing speech. Painting first abstract pictures is the way to express collected emotions even though you don’t know the that is a masterpiece about.

You can’t make your energetic toddler be busy with something for a long time if you just give him paints and paper and say: “Paint. It’s cool!” Start painting yourself. First he or she (or even they) will be watching. But in some time you won’t be painting alone anymore. [...]
