I’m sure you know what is baby. But now is a new stage and you can face a new person in your life – your toddler son or girl.

I can’t say who is toddler because I don’t know your child but I can say what is toddler.

1. Source of LOVE – all love you shown to your baby is still in toddler. Toddler knows you love him and can show his own love to you. This great! Lot’s of huggings and kissings!!! And first words of love!

2. Source of energy. Never stop, never sit still, never silent, moving and moving all the day long.

3. Source of inspiration. Even lazy people start to work hard and change their life with they understand that their toddler needs better life. It’s not a law but often it happens.

4. Source of noise. Throwing the things and toys, crying, yelling, speaking the first words or their own language, they will teach you that the best music is silence.

5. Source of desire to explore You need to show them everything in order to avoid their rage and anger. Sitting and waiting – not for them. “Never stop to explore!” – their motto.

6. Source of happiness. This sentence should be first or second in this post but I don’t want to change the list. It doesn’t matter much where is the statement. It matter what it means. You can’t be happy without children. It’s law of universe. You can pretend that you are busy with many important things but children are the most important thing in the world.

7. Source of wisdom We think we teach them to live but in reality they teach us to see the world with a new absolutely different look. We feed them, play, take care and for this they teach us how forget all unnecessary things about life.

Understanding toddler development is to be prepared to be a very good parent. Everyone makes mistakes. Even the best mothers and fathers. One mother told me that her toddler is afraid of water and she has difficulties with going together to the swimming pool. So, toddlers can be afraid of some things natural for us without our concern about the reasons of the fear. We all are afraid of something. But we spoke about other things too like all moms do when their children play together and it appeared that she never let her son to have a bath because it’s rather hard thing for her and her husband. They just wash him in a shower once a week. She was very surprised to know that our Sophia has a bath every day or almost every day because I do believe that skin should breathe freely especially skin of the kids. Block pores cannot lead to health.

A week later she told me that she started to wash her toddler in a bath and he isn’t afraid if water anymore.

With help of this story from the life I wanted to say that we can make our children to be afraid of something and when a child starts to be scared of something we should ask ourselves first what is the reason of the fear.

Sometimes it’s happen that a toddler desn’t recognize one of the parents. It’s just happen sometimes. Without any reason. (It seems so but it always has some reason). Very often toddlers doesn’t recognize fathers. It was in our family and I know some families where was the same problem.

Knowing lots of toddlers and having the most stubborn one I can tell that nothing can help in this situation and but patience of “rejected” parent and the time spent together. When I see that relation between my daughter and husband start to become strained I leave them together. The father learns how find connection with daughter and daughter learns more about father. There is always some work to do and money to earn but we can’t make our children to love us in our absence. We can’t be an example for them without doing for them even something ordinary, commonplace and boring for us. Just spend time together showing you are really interested in their life and problems.

It’s very sad when because of speed of our stressful life and busy schedule fathers (sometime mothers too) lost that special ties that bind a family. We can’t leave wtihout money and we still have to earn them but toys and food can never replace a father or mother. It’s easy to start a family and give birth a child but to feel and to understand a child through life is like a gift given for hard work and selflessness, remembering what is the final goal.

Out time cost nothing but it’s the best what we can give to our children. We can earn lots of money but even all gold of the world won’t buy that first the most important years we should devote them. The lack of attention and time make them to reject us. And it can be too late…

Three years old! How much I can tell about every day of this long but at the same time short period of OUR life.
I said “OUR” because we still can’t imagine to be apart.

According to all modern researches and many scientists the most important part of our development is behind. What I can tell? I think it’s true. I feel it and I see it.

She was like a sponge and absorb all kind of information she met. Now she needs some motivation to learn something absolutely new. It doesn’t mean she has problem with learning. But it’s obvious that she is in other stage. I don’t think it’s bad. It’s just different.

She still likes all kinds of activities she used to enjoy before. No problems with letters, reading, writing, drawing, learning poems and songs and counting. Now I feel how wise it was to start learning all that things when she was just a baby:) I’m confident that no matter what field of science she choose she will easily become successful.

But still it’s too early to celebrate. Regressions happens with all kids and mine isn’t exception. It’s normal. I take them as a reminds to be more attentive to her.

There is one more good news. We happily left all the tantrums in the past. We worked out this situations and even when we have some “hot” situation we both behave better. If I were more tolerant we could pass this stage earlier. It’s only my fault and I wasn’t the best mother while she was having a tantrum. But I’m happy that now I’m better.

I’m sure that 3 years old toddler are all cute and adorable. It’s unmeasurable pleasure to spend time with them. They can feel with you, care for you, help you, joke with you, show how much they love you.

She was playing with her favorite flowers and suddenly said: “Please, turn on some good music. My flowers love to listen music.”

How does she know??

I’ve seen several films about researches that show a beneficial influence of music on flowers. But we never spoke about this with my daighter.

For me it’s only one more proof of children’s inborn intuition they use in their first years of life. That’s the proof that children don’t have enough experience and their logic isn’t developed well. Instead they use the native feeling of intuition that help to understand the objects around. That’s amazing!

We don’t use intuition because we think that logic can bring the truth.

And that’s why we fail. We fail in many things in our life only because we don’t listen to our hearts any more. We don’t know what we want. We forgot our dreams. We do what we should do because we are told that is the way the things should be. We are so sure about this that even don’t try to think about it.

Our children are born with the wisdom to the life the way it is and don’t listen to the other people who failed to keep this wisdom in the heart.

Let’s help our children to keep this wisdom and their hearts. It will help them to have the better life than we have. I didn’t tell that we can’t change our life. On the contrary. We should change it for better in order to show our children the way. We should be the change we want to see.

What is development while painting for toddler?
Painting for toddler isn’t the same that we mean speaking about painting.
When we (adults) think of painting we think about some image and embodiment it on the paper by the help of brush and colors.


We should remember that toddlers see the world in different way. I would say that they don’t see everything completely different, they just see it at the other angle.

Painting for toddlers is like experiment and rather a process than a result. They never know how the picture is looking that they are going to paint. They are playing with colors, explore the shades, color themselves and all they can reach around. Paints for them are like alive creatures that can move and speak, retelling awesome and fantastic stories. And if you want to interfere in and say with the expert look “Bears are never green”, you’ll spoil magic moment.

The development while painting is very essencial part of the early child development, because it is not the same as playing with toys. When playing toys a toddler uses already made toys. He is consumer.
But when playing with the paints a child learns how to create something. And this is more important in all developmental methods.

Some sceptic may say that their toddlers (especially at the age of 12-24 month) don’t paint at all but just get dirty with paints. In some points this is true. But it’s easier to say that something doesn’t true than to try to understand. I do believe that even in this early age them had a lot of emotions and impressions that they express playing with colors. Just don’t be afraid to believe.

One of our games with colors.

Red meets Yellow and say:
– Hello!
– Hello!
-Who are you?
- I’m Yellow. What is your name
– I’m Red. Let’s play and dance together!
– Oh, it would be really nice to play and dance together.
– What is your favorite song?
– My favorite song is (say your toddler’s favorite song)
- Oh, great! Let’s dance!
(And Red and Yellow starts to mix and turn into the Orange)
– We are friends and we are Orange!

The story is very simple and you can change it the way you like.

I know that things we don’t allow to touch our children are the most interesting.
Things we can’t afford also like a magnets for us – adults. It’s our nature.

If you don’t allow to touch a knife your toddler will dream about possibility to take it secretly. But if you allow to play with it (in your presence) knife will become a very usual thing and will be forgotten very soon.

For this purpose cutting banana was really good activity besides it’s good training for little hands.

Besides it’s good idea for making food for toddler together.

cards can’t tell all about life

cards can’t develop sensory feelings and give the joy to feel nature, touch it

cards, videos, songs and poetry can’t tell how it’s to hold in hands newborn fluffy chick

cards and all other activities can’t teach how to take care of alive creatures

cards can’t tell about softness of the rose and its wonderful smell

Only lesson of nature can educate, teach, develop. Without such lessons mind of the cutest and smartest genius will be flat.

The best method is to show all this things in real life but not on the screen of TV or sets of flesh cards.
So don’t be too proud of yourself if the only education you can give your child is to send to some group and pay money for it.

So you have preschool toddler? It’s great because it’s one of my favorite children’s stage. Every stage is special and interesting, but this age is amuzing!

Who is preschool toddler? That’s the question.

Surely a preschool toddler isn’t a baby. He can walk. He can speak. He knows what is potty. He has his own thoughts and view on the things. He has some experience about the life.

He isn’t as stubborn as he used to be before and tantrums happen not so often. Life becomes easier!
You’ve already signed with relief because sleepless nights are in the past. It’s easier with everything about preschool toddler.

Sometimes they seems to behave almost like grown ups. They ask about serious things and we wonder how clever they are indeed. They may ask about economical situation, discoveries in cosmos, God, love and many other deep things. And after this questions we very often we do a mistake.

There are two mistakes we can make while parenting preschool toddler.

1. We still think that they are babies.

For all parents their children are always small no matter what is their real age. But our children grow up and change. And we have to understand it. Babies rely on us in everything. We plan their days for them. We decide when to sleep and what to eat, what to wear and with what toys to play, what music to listen.
Toddlers and especially preschool toddlers know very well what they like in and what they don’t. They choose food, toys, activities and even when it’s more suitable for them to have a walk or sleep. And it’s really good, because those simple choices can help them to understand themselves and become independent. It’s development of personal freedom. Of course if to gave them the full freedom you’ll discover soon that you are under the reign of tyrant has no desire to share his power. Here the best way out is to keep a golden middle. Really important and necessary things are obligatory, but in other cases the Freedom.
Let our kids express themselves in their own desires.

2. We think they are already big enough to behave like grown up in all situations.

I often do this mistakes. I forget that my daughter is still a child and she is only 2 years old. In fact she most people think she is older because of that many things she knows too many things for her age. She can understand so complicated explanations about life. The thought is not to be so demanding. Emotionally preschool toddlers are small children and need attention, love and caress even more and more with each day.
